Updated October 22, 2026. New York CityPASS has introduced a more flexible sightseeing format for late 2026 and early 2027. Its September 10 announcement confirmed that travelers can now select any five from ten attractions, with Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience and the Whitney Museum of American Art among the new choices. That matters when a short New York trip mixes museums, skyline views and a boat outing.
What changed with New York CityPASS?
Previously, shoppers often planned around fixed admissions and limited choices. The revised product makes the itinerary the starting point: pick the five places you actually want to visit, then decide whether the bundle saves money compared with buying those five admissions separately. Do not confuse this with New York C3 (three attractions) or New York C-All (a different, broader product).
The current ten-attraction selection includes the Empire State Building, American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Statue of Liberty Grounds and Ellis Island, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Edge and Whitney Museum. Precise admission benefits vary by attraction and may require reservations.
A three-day New York itinerary using five admissions
Day 1: Manhattan skyline and a museum
Begin with the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock and give yourself time for the American Museum of Natural History. These are different kinds of experiences; putting both observation decks on the same day may produce less variety than combining one view with one museum.
Day 2: Lower Manhattan and the harbor
Consider the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island option or the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, allowing extra time for security, lines, transit and any timed entries. A Circle Line cruise is another choice, not an automatic addition to a five-attraction pass.
Day 3: Edge, Whitney or a different neighborhood
Edge offers another observation-deck experience, while the Whitney provides art and downtown access. The choice depends on your interests, weather and what you already booked. Never assume an optional upgrade or sunset slot is included; review the official ticket details first.
When is a pass worth buying?
- Count only attractions you will actually visit. Five included admissions have no advantage if you can realistically reach only two.
- Check reservation requirements before payment. Some sites require advance booking or have capacity limits.
- Include taxes, processing fees, upgrades and transport. Advertised percentages are not a promise of your personal savings.
- Use the validity window correctly. The 2026–27 CityPASS product is valid for nine consecutive days starting with first use or the earliest reservation, subject to the product terms.

Frequently asked questions
Does CityPASS include every New York attraction?
No. The standard New York CityPASS provides five selections from its published list. C3 and C-All are separate ticket products; read each one’s current inclusions before comparing.
Do you need to choose all five when buying?
The official product permits selection later, but reservations should be made as early as practical for capacity-controlled visits.
Is the pass valid for nine days?
The official 2026–27 product states nine consecutive days once activated. Check the current rules for expiration and reservation timing.
